New GoPro™ Universal Stair Bracket System Earns Handyman Club of America’s Member-Tested Seal
Cleveland, Ohio – The new GoPro™ universal stair bracket, which has been catching the eye of construction industry experts nationwide, has added the coveted Handyman Club of America Member-Tested seal from Handy magazine.
"We are very excited to have won this distinction," said Steve Peplin, CEO of Talan Products, which manufactures the GoPro bracket. Actual production samples were used by knowledgeable handymen and contractors across the country, who thoroughly evaluated the brackets by building stairs and then applying the magazine’s very specific product rating system. "The product needs to be approved by over two-thirds of the testers," said Peplin, "and we passed with flying colors."
The product and test information is available on handymanclub.com.
The GoPro system "is an entirely new and different way to build stairs" said Peplin. "There are many benefits, and the benefits that the testers mentioned most often were saving time and ease of use. We’ve been saying that our system is revolutionary, and I think this confirms it: more than one tester reported that using our system was 3 TIMES FASTER than the traditional method of building stairs!"
The system is so simple that most Do-It-Yourselfers can now take on a stair project – whether interior or exterior or deck stairs – with confidence.
A major benefit for contractors and builders is that a less-skilled team member can build the stairs. No cutting of stringers is necessary. You simply attach the brackets to the stringer utilizing the imprinted scale markings which indicate the staircase rise and run.
Many Other Benefits for the System
Other benefits of the Universal Stair Bracket system include:
- The brackets easily adjust to any staircase pitch, rise and run.
- Minimal marking and cutting, and less waste of wood.
- Because there is less wood-to-wood contact, you have less likelihood of squeaking than with conventional stairs.
- It virtually eliminates mistakes, which cost time and money.
- You need to make only one mark and cut on the stringer – for the first step.
- It avoids top and bottom step issues.
- It enables carpenters and DIYers of all skills to build stringers, and drastically reduces teaching time.
- You can use a 2 X 6 or 2 by 8 instead of a 2 X 12 without sacrificing strength or quality.
- The system can be used for interior or exterior stairs.
The system includes left-side, right side, and bottom brackets made from sturdy 16-gauge hot-dipped
triple-zinc galvanized steel. When middle stringers are required, left- or right-side brackets can be used.
The brackets are being made in the USA -- in Cleveland, Ohio by GoPro Construction Solutions, LLC.
